Porsche 911 is probably the car which changed the least over the course of 50 years that it has been produced and the 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is no exception. As always, there’s a choice between Targa and Carrera models, and both of these come in few additional iterations. Fastest Carrera version is GTS which not only gives you best acceleration, but most power as well.
The 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS features a 3.8L horizontally opposed flat-six engine which is capable of developing 430 horsepower and 324.5 pound feet of torque. Furthermore, this rear engine – rear-wheel drive sports coupe gives you the ability to choose between 7-speed manual gearbox and 7-speed dual-clutch PDK automatic transmission. Acceleration time from 0 to 60 is tightly connected with transmission and varies between them. Manual achieves it in 4.2 seconds, while PDK automatic does the job in 3.8 seconds. Top speed differs as well, even though discrepancy is slight. Manual gearbox equipped models can achieve 190 mph, while automatic runs to 189 mph at most.
