As you all know, the Bronco has been one of the most loved Ford SUVs. It was a family car that could go anywhere while looking good. The 2016 Ford Bronco model makes no exception and with rumors and reports about this vehicle it seems that we will be finally getting new version of Bronco.
It is still based on Ford F series, so it shares some of the engines and interior trimmings. On the other hand, this will be an SVT model that will replace the ageing Ford Raptor. It will feature more engines than the Raptor and also it will have more interior space. There are many choices that Ford will need to make about this model and since there is a large fan base it would be vise for them to done everything right.
As we said before, the 2016 Ford Bronco will have more engine options than its predecessor. The base unit will be a 5 liter Coyote V8 that is plenty powerful with its 420 horsepower for daily tasks but isn’t the most fuel efficient unit. The optional 4.9 liter Powerstroke V6 turbocharged diesel engine offers better fuel economy as well as much higher torque, having 330 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. This engine will be ideal for people who use their car for towing different loads and off road excursions. The most powerful engine in the range will be the 5.8 liter supercharged V8 power plant that comes right of the Mustang GT500. It will be able to offer as much as 662 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque.
2016 Ford Bronco Concept
This is where things get a little different. The standard transmission is a 6 speed automatic unit that is smooth while changing gears but it isn’t exactly the fastest unit. The optional 6 speed manual is a much better option but for people who want to drive a bit sportier and for those who desire better fuel economy and better responsiveness of the car. It comes only with four wheel drive with 1 ton axles, both in the front and rear, so it is excellent off-road model.
Because the 2016 Ford Bronco is basically a Ford F series that has been tweaked, the interior is very similar to a mid-range F Series truck. It offers leather as standard as well as satellite navigation and a surround sound system. The heated and electric seats are very comfortable but don’t offer too much lateral support. Have in mind that this is the SUV which is mainly developed for the off-road driving so we can’t expect to see same interior comfort.
The car follows the SVT design scheme. The front is very much alike to that of the 2016 Ford F series with a few minor tweaks. The headlights now get LED running lights while the front bumper has been completely redesigned. The car only features 2 doors, just like the first generation Bronco, even though is a full size SUV, so access to the rear seats might be a bit tricky.
Price Of 2016 Ford Bronco
Have in mind that these are only rumors and reports for which we are waiting to be confirmed by Ford. At this point it is quite obvious that this car maker is preparing something for us but will it be the 2016 Ford Bronco we will have to wait and see. We still do not have any images of new model so we will deliver those of a concept that was announced all the way back in 2004 but was canceled. Price rumors are among those that are most speculated and we could hear figures from $20,000 to $40,000.
