The new 2015 Subaru Outback model features several improvements as compared to the current generation. One thing that was not improved about this new model was the no-longer standard manual transmission. The model will only offer a continuously variable automatic transmission that should improve fuel economy.

This new 2015 model is redesigned and looks less bulky and sleeker. The new SUV will have a structured design with steep front windows and a sporty front side. The new car will be powered by a smaller engine that is turbocharged to replace the old and bigger 6-cylinder 3.6 liter DOHC. Some reports suggest that the 3.6 liter V6 will be also offered but we are waiting to see about that. On the front, the new 2015 Subaru Outback will feature front side projector headlamps and windows that are significantly raked while the hood will feature two character lines. As an off road car, this new model does not lose this identity thanks to its roof rack and steep front side spoiler.

The side mirrors of the 2015 Subaru Outback have been moved away from the pillar and now are on the door. In addition, the car drives on 18 inch tires with a back light group that appears smaller as compared to the current model. We can say that we are getting many small changes that improved overall look and that this i one much nicer vehicle compared to previous models. The interior of this model features a twin-binnacle gauge cluster, new HVAC vents and a sports steering wheel that is thick-trimmed and paired with paddle shifters. Some other features of the interior design are yet to be released however, it is possible that the 2015 Subaru Outback will bring minor changes including a 10-way power adjustable and heated front seats, a padding that is leather-trimmed, a digital trip computer system and a color LCD multifunction display for all the most important information’s about car.

The 2015 Subaru Outback is expected to drive on a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder 170 horsepower engine as a base unit and a new turbo charged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder 250 horsepower similar to that of the 2014 Forester. Second unit will be optional and even those two come with similar fuel economy ratings (bigger naturally aspirated unit is slightly better with only few mpg more than turbocharged unit). It is also argued that a diesel hybrid engine concept like that of the Subaru Viziv will be adopted in this new model but at this point these are only rumors.

The new 2015 Subaru model will provide passive and active safety features like 4-wheel antilock braking system, vehicle dynamics control, brake assist, traction control system, a system for monitoring tire pressure, eyesight driver assistance system, side curtain bags, frontal airbag system, collapsible steering column, front seat head restraints that are height adjustable as well as a brake override system. There is no doubt that in this segment Subaru offered a lot and since this is one of the most important segments when buying vehicle we are sure that many drivers will be attracted with this offer.

The price of the Subaru 2.5i premium model, including shipping starts at $27,900. The 2015 Subaru Outback 2.5i limited model will begin trading at $30,900 plus shipping charges for higher trim levels buyers will need to pay up to $33,000 plus optional equipment that would be chosen. It is rumored that this new Subaru model will hit the markets by the end of this year.
